The City of Reno works to make arts and culture accessible to everyone by offering public art, preserving history, and supporting cultural organizations. Public art is an important part of the City’s ongoing commitment to our city's strong arts appreciation and local talent. Reno has more than 300 public artworks, and new pieces are added often. Gallery spaces around the city show year-round exhibits from local and regional artists and arts groups. Each year, the city also gives grants to local nonprofits to help grow arts and culture programs, building our community’s cultural landscape. Historic preservation helps us understand Reno’s history through careful identification, restoration, and reuse of historic sites.
