Storm Water Permit Coordinating Committee

The Truckee Meadows Storm Water Permit Coordinating Committee, or Truckee Meadows Watershed Committee, is comprised of two representatives from each the City of Reno, City of Sparks, and Washoe County.

The origin of this committee was for the management of a regional storm water discharge permit mandated by the Clean Water Act and is issued by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). To manage the multiple agency permit, an interlocal agreement between the parties was developed in 1990, and with this, the Truckee Meadows Storm Water Permit Coordinating Committee (SWPCC) was formed. With a 2004 amendment, same parties agreed that this committee would address watershed management as it relates to water quality, hence the committee is now known as the Truckee Meadows Watershed Committee (TMWC).

This committee reports coordination activities, budget, outreach, and other elements of the program in compliance with the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Permit, as per the Storm Water Management Program on a Fiscal Year Basis.  Please follow links to view:
