Stuff a Bus for Seniors

It's time for our 2017 Stuff a Bus for Seniors donation drive! From May 18 to May 30, the City of Reno, Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), Washoe County Senior Services and Reno Aces are partnering to help collect new, unused items to help senior citizens in our community. 

On May 30 from 4-6pm, we'll wrap things up by "stuffing" an RTC bus parked at Greater Nevada Field. Bring by new items to help stuff the bus. 

Donations can also be dropped of between 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, at Stuff a Bus barrels at the following locations:

  • Reno City Hall, 1st and 2nd floor lobbies - 1 East First Street, Reno
  • Reno Fire Department, City Hall,4th floor - 1 East First Street, Reno
  • Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center - 1301 Valley Road, Reno
  • Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center - 2745 Elementary Drive, Reno
  • Neil Road Recreation Center - 3925 Neil Road, Reno
  • Reno Police Department - 455 E. Second Street, Reno
  • Sparks City Hall - 431 Prater Way, Sparks
  • Sparks Senior Center - 97 Richards Way, Sparks
  • Sparks Alf Sorensen Recreation Center - 1400 Baring Blvd., Sparks
  • Washoe County Senior Center - 1001 E. Ninth Street, Building E, Reno
  • Washoe County Human Services - 350 Center Street, Reno
  • Washoe County Sheriff’s Office - 911 Parr Blvd., Reno
  • Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, 4th floor - 1 S. Sierra Street, Reno

What to Donate

We will accept new items, including:

  • Jackets, sweatshirts, and pants
  • Air circulation fans and auto off electric space heaters
  • Household cleaning and bathroom supplies
  • Adult diapers
  • Gift cards (grocery stores, pharmacies, book stores, movies, pet stores, etc.)
  • Bus passes or RTC Access ticket books (
  • Financial donations are also accepted. Checks can be made payable to Washoe County Senior Services

All new, unused donations will be delivered to Washoe County Senior Services for distribution to our seniors in need.
