Ceramic Workshop
Learn new techniques or refine old ones. Projects are completed as a group focusing on the techniques needed to complete a ceramic piece from start to finish. Mediums used include acrylics, glazes, and translucents. This class is designed to accommodate many skill levels. For advanced students additional projects can be worked on during class time. Supplies will be available for those who register in advance.  Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center. Directions

Join this stress-free group and learn to crochet a variety of stitches to create Afghans, lap blankets and much more. The repetitive actions used in knitting and crochet can bring the mind and body to a state of relaxation. All skill levels welcome. An 8 oz. skein of worsted weight yarn and an 'H' aluminum crochet hook are needed. Meets Mondays at 10 a.m. at Northeast Community Center. Directions

Quilting Clubs
Seniors looking for an interesting craft to learn or master can join the Sunshine Quilters Club or the Paper Doll Quilters Club. Bring a project, sewing machine, and join our quilters. Many completed quilts are donated to neonatal units for premature babies and will provide beautiful gifts and loving memories to families. Some quilts are donated to various charities to be auctioned for fundraising events.  Joining the clubs is free.  Meets at the Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center. Directions  For a complete schedule please call 775-356-3176.
