Membership Discounts

RecConnect memberships can be as low as $12.40 per month for adult memberships based on the sliding scale discount. Discounts will be applied based on the household income level up to 80% off the rates above.

Seniors and veterans are eligible for an additional 20% discount on RecConnect memberships.

After reaching four people in a household, there are no additional fees.

- How do I update my billing information?
  You can always change your billing information on your ActiveNet account online. You can contact any City of Reno recreation facility or do so in person. The link to update the information online is: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/cityofrenoprcs/signin
- What are the age rules for memberships?
  Adults are 18 years of age or older. Parents may sign up their children for membership. Seniors will receive an automatic 20% discount for a membership and are still eligible for additional discounts based on the sliding scale for income.
- Are any discounts available for RecConnect membership?
  The City of Reno will use the federal guidelines based on the federal poverty levels at 100%, 200%, 300% and 400% to reduce the monthly costs 20%, 40%, 60% or 80% based on where the income level lands for the individual or family. To apply for a discount, a current pay stub or previous year tax return must be brought into a City of Reno Parks and Recreation facility for verification to have the discounts applied to the account. It cannot be done online.
- Can I pay in cash rather than having a card automatically billed?
  You can pay with cash prior to the expiration date each month/quarter/year depending on the membership. Failure to pay on-time will result in the closure of the membership and access to membership services and benefits will be removed. Patron must re-enroll in the membership program at the current rates to reactivate a membership.
- How do RecConnect payments work?
  Every month, starting with the initial date of enrollment, your credit card on file will be charged for your monthly fee. If the payment does not go through due to lack of funds or an expired card, your membership will be inactivated and you will have to update your card on file and complete payment before access to your membership and benefits is reactivated.
- How much is a membership?
  Month to Month memberships are $60 per month. There are quarterly and annual memberships that require payment in full.
- What facilities are included in the membership?
  All City of Reno Parks and Recreation facilities are included in the membership. This includes the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center, Plumas Gym, Paradise Park Activity Center and Neil Road Recreation Center. Membership access also includes the aquatics facilities at the Moana Springs Community Aquatics and Fitness Center, Northwest Pool, Traner Pool and Idlewild Pool.
- What if I don’t want a membership?
  Membership will not be right for everyone. If you only sign up for specific programs, you can continue to do that moving forward without the membership. Memberships will grant you more access and discounts that may be of a greater value.
- What perks are included in the membership?
  - 10% discounts for facility room rentals, pool rentals, park shelter rentals and field rentals.
  - Special member-only times for open swim at Aquatics facilities.
  - 10% off for the weekly rates for Sierra Kids and Vacation Station (parent and child must both be members to be valid for this discount)
  - Coming Soon: Child watch free for members for up to 90 minutes. (parent and child must both be members to be valid for this discount)
  - 10% off the non-included classes such as specialty fitness classes, personal training and even swim lessons.
  - Free member-only special events: Movies in the park / pool. Outdoor events, etc.
  Discounts and perks are allowed valid while membership is active. If a membership is no longer active, all discounts will be removed from the account.
- What programs are included in the membership?
  Membership provides unlimited access to open and lap swim, fitness and cardio rooms, open gym time, open gym pickleball and several fitness classes including water fitness and yoga.
