The Code Enforcement Division assists to enforce the Reno Municipal Code as it applies to property maintenance, property nuisances and other issues in residential and commercial zoning districts.
The Code Enforcement staff works closely with all City departments in order to resolve health, safety, and public nuisance problems that may adversely affect the quality of life for citizens of Reno. The Division focuses on public education as the primary measure to gain voluntary compliance with the Reno Municipal Code and steers abatement measures through coordinated and cooperative measures. Administrative penalties may be assessed to those who fail to comply with the municipal code.

If you have been issued a Notice of Violation, Notice of Intent to Record, administrative citation, or Notice to Abate, you have the right to appeal. Complete the form, and follow the instructions on the Administrative/Enforcement appeal form.
