How the Program Works

  • The program is designed to model a workweek (Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm).
  • Reno Works crews work directly with the City of Reno Public Works and Parks & Recreation Departments to facilitate cleanup projects and complete maintenance work along the Truckee River, in downtown, and in parks and other City facilities.
  • On the days they aren’t working, participants spend time in workshops, job searching, and looking for housing.
  • Upon program completion, graduates receive housing assistance and continuing case management support.
  • Since 2015, 95 graduates have completed the Reno Work Program!
