Development Applications and Building Permits

Pre-Application Meetings

Pre-application meetings are an opportunity for applicants to discuss a development proposal prior to submission with the different departments involved in the review process. Projects that typically benefit from pre-application meetings include:

  • Land development cases such as Master Plan amendments, zoning map amendments, special use permits, tentative maps, variances, annexations, and abandonments
  • Complex mapping cases for requests such as final maps, parcel maps, boundary line adjustments, or reversions to acreage
  • Building permits that are more than 5,000 square feet, over four stories, or include site improvements

Pre-application meetings are typically scheduled on Monday mornings from 9-11:15 a.m. Request a pre-application meeting. Due to COVID-19 precautions, all pre-application meetings through at least April 2020 will be held virtually. Please continue to request a pre-application meeting using the online form. Staff will follow up with you to confirm the meeting schedule and provide login details.
