Changes to Licenses

You must notify the city licensing office within 15 days with any change in licensees, ownership, business entity or mailing address.
If the physical business location changes, the licensee must notify the city licensing office three days prior to the new business location opening.
Some changes require updating your information with the Nevada Secretary of State, Nevada State Department of Taxation, Washoe County Clerk's Office fictitious name, and/or obtaining a Reno Police Department background check.

How to change the following:

Business Description

Requires amendment application and business review form
Home based businesses must also review the home based business criteria.

Business Entity

Requires a new business license application, business review form, State industrial insurance compliance form, Nevada State business license certificate, Nevada State Taxation registration certificate and Washoe County Clerk's Office fictitious firm name certificate (DBA)

Licensee – Non Privileged License

Requires amendment application and updated State of Nevada Business License (detailing the officer changes).

Privileged License Information

Requires an amendment application, privileged license application and personal history statement

Mailing Address, Email or Phone Number

Submit online mailing address, email, phone number change request form

Business Name

Requires amendment application, State industrial insurance compliance form, Nevada State business license certificate, Nevada State taxation registration and updated Washoe County Clerk's Office fictitious firm name certificate (DBA)
