CONOP Overview

Drone America has proposed four public Safety focused CONOPs for the BEYOND program.
By working directly with the City of Reno, the Reno Fire Department and the FAA we will be developing a combined strategy to use UAS and emerging technologies to better serve our community by protecting lives and property.

  1. CONOP number one will develop the use of Drone America UAS for fire safety, infrastructure and fuel inspections. Flying above the Reno foothills along main powerline and urban interface corridors to determine locations where mitigation or preventative maintenance should be conducted to prevent future fire events.
  2. CONOP number two will use of Drone America UAS for the delivery of critical medical supplies from a fixed First Responder base to a remote location.
  3. CONOP number three will fly Drone America long duration UAS for shoreline patrol of an active water recreation area. This mission will feature a live offshore search and rescue operation with a launch from a fixed shore base and a landing on offshore operations platform.
  4. CONOP number four will explore the use of Drone America long duration UAS to monitor and survey the Truckee River Corridor and its urban interface for potential hazards and people in distress.
