Biggest Little Fall Refresh Cleaning
Hello Neighbors!
Join the City of Reno and community volunteers for the Biggest Little Fall Refresh Cleaning in your neighborhood! These free events are open to all Reno residents. Be sure to check the dates and list of accepted items for each location below.
Important: Only residential bulky waste will be accepted this Fall.

The event will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or until the Waste Management container bins are full, whichever comes first.
Once bins are full, no additional items will be accepted.
We will NOT have electronic or hazardous waste disposal collection on the following dates:

Ward 4 – Saturday, September 19, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM at O'Brien Middle School 5000 Silver Lake Rd, Reno, NV 89506 (Entrance on Silver Lake Rd).

Ward 2 - Saturday, October 10, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM at Reno High School 395 Booth St, Reno, NV 89509 (Entrance on Foster Dr).

Ward 6 - Saturday, October 17, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM at Brown Elementary School 13815 Spelling Ct, Reno, NV 89521 (Entrance on Spelling Ct).

Ward 3 - Saturday, October 24, 2026 9 AM - 12 PM at Wooster High School 1331 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502 (Entrance on Harvard Wy).

Ward 1 - Saturday, November 7, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM at Trainer Middle School,1700 Carville Dr, Reno, NV 89512 (Entrance on Carville Dr).

Ward 5 - Saturday, November 14, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM at Melton Elementary School 6575 Archimedes Ln, Reno, NV 89523 (Entrance on Archimedes Ln).
Please refer to the Waste Management website for a list of materials not allowed in the roll-off dumpsters at these events.
Items not accepted at these events:
- Hazardous waste (i.e. paints, pesticides, large batteries, cleaning chemicals, liquids)
- Electronic waste
- Mercury (thermostats and some medical equipment)
- Asbestos/asbestos related items
- Radioactive smoke detectors
- Prescription drugs (CVS Pharmacy offers prescription drug disposal.)

Hazardous and Electronic Waste Location
City Wide - Saturday, September 26, 2026, 9 a.m. and will end once the bins are full, at Reno High School 395 Booth St, Reno, NV 89509 (Entrance on Foster Dr).
Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Only! Please note that no Waste Management container bins will be available on this date. Only electronic waste and hazardous waste will be accepted for disposal on September 26.
Items accepted only on September 26, will be limited to no more than half of a standard pickup truck bed per household for hazardous and e-waste items.

Electronic waste (i.e. TV’s any size, microwaves, computers, cell phones, and electronic home appliances)

Large appliance (i.e. Refrigerator, washer/dryer, 1 per household)

Tires (7 Tires per household)
