    On Wednesday September 27, 2017 executives with Northern Nevada Law Enforcement agencies will join Reno City Councilman Oscar Delgado, and Assemblyman Edgar Flores, to discuss in an open community forum, immigration issues facing our community. The purpose of this forum is to bring the community together to discuss topics related to immigration and refugee reform in our community.     City of Reno celebrates Fiesta Latin@ and recognizes Reno People Project honorees

    As part of Reno’s year-long 150th birthday celebration, the City of Reno will host the inaugural Fiesta Latin@ on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Reno City Plaza. The next 15 recipients of the Reno People Project will be announced during Fiesta Latin@ at 5:30 p.m. Ultimately, 150 people will be recognized by May 9, 2018.

  • No residential structures lost in Woodchuck Fire

    The Reno Fire Department (RFD) responded today at 1:30 p.m. to a fire in west Reno on the west side of Plateau Road. Forward progress on the 62-acre Woodchuck Fire (#WoodchuckFire) was stopped at approximately 5:30 p.m. No residential structures were lost, and no damage to residential structures occurred. There were no injuries to people or to any animals.
