Post Date:04/06/2026 10:57 a.m.
The City of Reno invites residents to participate in Reno Tennis Center Community Day on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Community members of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend this free event. The facility is located at 2601 Plumas St. and features 10 tennis hardcourts and 24 pickleball courts.

“I encourage our residents to get outside and have some fun with this free, family-friendly event at the Reno Tennis Center,” said Ward 5 Councilmember Devon Reese. “This is an excellent opportunity to check out the facility and meet other community members who share the love of the sport.”

This event includes organized tennis and pickleball games, drop-in tennis and pickleball games, and introduction to pickleball class, child/parent tennis play for ages seven and up, food trucks, and more.

In 2025, the City celebrated the completion of renovations at the Reno Tennis Center. The project was funded through a $2.3 million allocation from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Improvements included renovating four tennis courts and converting two tennis courts into six pickleball courts. In total, six courts were resurfaced, with four receiving a new asphalt overlay, along with acrylic coating and striping for the pickleball courts. Additional upgrades included ADA-accessible ramps and repaired fencing.

Registration for tennis and pickleball lessons, programs, events, and court reservations can be made at the Reno Tennis Center or online.

Private and group lessons, racquet stringing, and tennis ball machines are available for various fees. For more information, visit the City’s Tennis page.
