All City of Reno facilities will be open on December 5, which includes a regular meeting of the Reno City Council starting at 10 a.m. at Reno City Hall. During the meeting, Council will observe a 41-second Moment of Silence to honor and remember the 41st President of the United States of America.

Following are other ways the City of Reno will recognize the National Day of Mourning:

  • Flags at City Hall and other City facilities will be flown at half-staff for 30 days.
  • The City of Reno Tree Lighting ceremony from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on December 5 at the Reno City Plaza will occur as scheduled, with the addition of a 41-second Moment of Silence.
