Introducing new Reno Police Department Public Relations Officer, Travis Warren
The Reno Police Department (RPD) is proud to introduce Officer Travis Warren, who will officially fill the position of Public Relations Officer on June 8, 2018.
Officer Warren will be taking over for Officer Timothy Broadway, who will be taking his talents and experience back to the Patrol Division after having served in the Public Relations Officer position for the past four years. RPD would like to thank Officer Broadway for his hard work and dedication to the position.
About Officer Travis Warren
Officer Warren is a 14-year veteran of the Reno Police Department. He has worked in various assignments such as:
- Downtown Bicycle Enforcement Team (DBET)
- Traffic Section, where he served as a motorcycle officer
- Community Action Officer (CAO)
- Mobile Outreach Safety Team (MOST), which focuses on mental health crisis intervention
Officer Warren is also a team leader on the Reno Police Department’s Critical Incident Negotiations Team (CINT).
Implementation of Onebox media line:
Media are alerted to direct all City of Reno inquiries, including RPD, to 775-430-5005. This line is available as a voicemail or a text/SMS line. The RPD line will be live effective Wednesday, June 6.
Media can leave the information they need along with their contact information. The “on-duty” media person will receive a notification, obtain necessary information and respond to the media via their city cell phone.
