Media and the public are advised that the City of Reno will host a Permanent Overflow Shelter Community Meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Reno City Hall.

The meeting is being held to discuss the possible development of a permanent overflow shelter at 250 Sage Street, and to gather input about this location as the potential site for an overflow shelter. City staff will present information about the process and be available to answer questions.

Please be advised, also, that this meeting will not be live streamed at Reno.gov/Meetings.

Background: On August 9, 2017, Reno City Council unanimously approved to direct staff to determine Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) applicability and conduct public outreach regarding the possible use of 250 Sage Street as a permanent overflow shelter site. Read the Staff Report.
