City of Reno unveils renovated yoga space at Evelyn Mount facility
Media and the public are invited to join City of Reno staff and the High Fives Foundation at Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. There will be a series of presentations and a ribbon cutting followed by a short adaptive yoga class with athlete Lyndsay Slocumb.
The High Fives Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting athletes with disabilities and disabled Veterans, has donated $4,000 to replace flooring in the Gold Hill room at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center. Replacing the carpet with vinyl planks allows the room to be used for yoga classes geared toward disabled Veterans.
The donation from the High Fives Foundation builds on the success of the City of Reno’s Fit But Not Forgotten Veteran fitness program and the Military to the Mountains partnership.
