Background & Next Steps
Council discussed strategic investment recommendations surrounding $10.9 million of additional resources in the FY15 General Fund at the preliminary April 21, 2015 Budget Workshop. It was decided that citizen input around budget priorities should be taken into account, as well as recommendations from the Financial Advisory Board (FAB), before a final decision was made. This item is also on the May 13, 2015 regular meeting agenda, should Council decide to continue the conversation until then.
Final Budget and Fee Schedule adoption will take place at a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. If adopted, the Budget would be sent to the Nevada Department of Taxation for review on June 1.
