Variety is the Spice of Life an exhibition by Latimer Art Club

The Latimer Art Club presents a multi-media variety of colorful art at the Metro Gallery, from January 12th to February 13th. This group exhibit will showcase 2-dimensional art in a variety of mediums and subjects, as well as interpretations between abstract, impressionism and realism. The Latimer Art Club is the oldest art organization in the state. Established in 1921 by students of Lorenzo P. Latimer, it has a long history of excellence in juried artists who appreciate the beauty of our northern Nevada landscapes. Initially the club was composed of Mr. Latimer's students and intrepid outdoor painting excursions. Today the mixture of artists still includes some "plein-aire" painters, but also all kinds of more modern and abstract painters.
