Fire Codes

The Reno Fire Department adopts two fire codes, one in the City of Reno and the other in the unincorporated areas of Washoe County which are covered by the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.

The City of Reno has adopted the 2003 International Fire Code with amendments. The ordinance outlining these amendments is attached.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, which is administered by the City of Reno Fire Department, is in the process of adopting the 2003 International Fire Code with amendments. The ordinance outlining these proposed amendments is attached.
