(775) 334-2301

Daniel is always looking for innovative cost-effective ways to improve the technology for communications whether it is for emergency situations or day-to-day use of computers and email.

Daniel’s department oversees the 911 emergency dispatch center and provides support for all other city departments’ technology needs.

Daniel began his career at the City in 2001 as a Senior Network Analyst, and served as the IT Manager before being promoted to his current position.

He believes his most important accomplishments are his work to implement the City’s transparency initiatives; an Online Checkbook and Online Payroll addition to the City’s website where residents can find out how City money is spend on programs and people. He was also instrumental in implementing public safety computer system upgrades and worked with the team of the 911 Emergency Communications Division to secure a coveted CALEA accreditation.

Daniel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.

He is a member of the Government Management Information Sciences (GMIS) Nevada Chapter and took on the responsibilities of President in 2012. Daniel is a member of the E911 Advisory Board for Washoe County, Nevada, and also sits on the 800MHz users committee for the radio system in the county.

Daniel is passionate about technology and innovation and how they can make our lives easier and more efficient.

On weekends, you will find Daniel spending time with his beautiful wife and two daughters.
