Cassandra has strong organizational skills and a commitment to improving residents’ experience at one of the busiest courts in Northern Nevada.
Cassandra became the Reno Municipal Court Administrator in January 2012 after working as the Interim Court Administrator. She is responsible for the administrative functions of the court from daily operations to budget management, and acts as a liaison with outside agencies and the public.
Cassandra has more than 20 years of experience in a number of administrative positions, including working at the Nevada Supreme Court and the Reno City Attorney’s Office.
She has been charged with implementing an advanced case-management system which streamlines business processes to provide efficient customer service and public access to cases.
Reno Municipal Court is a high-volume court in which four Reno Municipal Court Judges adjudicate criminal misdemeanors (domestic violence, DUI, drug paraphernalia and petty theft) and traffic violations committed by adults within the City limits.
Cassandra is a graduate of the National Center for State Court’s Court Management Program and a member of the National Association of Court Managers and the National Association of Court Executives.
She is very passionate about improving the quality of justice and removing roadblocks to fair and equitable access to justice. Cassandra loves working for the City of Reno and particularly the Reno Municipal Court. She believes that as a limited jurisdiction court, Municipal Court is the "peoples’ court" where there is a real opportunity to impact the lives of those that come through our doors.
When the weather is nice, you will find Cassandra with her husband on the back of their Harley Davidson. She also enjoys spending time with her large family. Between her husband and herself, they have six children and two grandchildren.
She also spends hours volunteering for her church.
