Crime Free Multi-Housing

Crime-free HousingThe Reno Crime Free Multi-Housing Program is designed to help residents, owners, and managers of rental properties keep drugs and other illegal activities out of their area. This program is direct and solution-oriented. It is an easy, yet effective, deterrent to crime at rental properties.

The Reno Crime Free Multi-Housing Program workshop is free training open to all owners and/or property managers of multi-housing units in the City of Reno. Preference is given to those who own or manage complexes with 40 or more units.

You can download and mail, email, or fax a completed registration form (pdf) for the workshop. See upcoming workshop date. The Crime Free Multi-Housing workshop shows rental-property owners and managers what to look for, and ways to prevent criminal activity on their property.

The benefits of joining the Crime Free Program include:

  • A more stable resident base
  • Increase demand for rental units, and a reputation for active management
  • Lower maintenance and repair costs
  • Increased property values
  • Improved personal safety for residents, landlords, and property managers
