Water Fitness


Class Schedule -  Water is a great environment for exercise. Buoyancy takes the impact off of leg joints allowing exercises to improve muscular strength, balance and fitness levels. Get high-impact results from a low-impact workout. No swimming skills are required.


Personal Training


Fit 2 You Personal Training. Fitness should be a lifestyle activity - like brushing your teeth. This one-on-one program will help you get started on an exercise lifestyle designed to keep you fit and healthy. The first session is an assessment of your fitness level and goals. Jazzercise (TM)


When you love your workout, the results come easy. That's why Jazzercise blends aerobics, yoga, Pilates, and kickboxing movements into fun dance routines set to fresh new music. All fitness levels are welcome! For ages 16+. Sit & Get Fit


Sit and Get Fit is designed to strengthen the muscles used for walking and getting out of a chair, this weight training program features exercises done standing and sitting. Classes are offered every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center beginning at 8:30 a.m.; Tuesday and Thursday at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center beginning at 10 a.m.; and Monday and Wednesday at the Neil Road Recreation Center.


Super Seniors


Silver State Super Seniors is a combined recreation and exercise program, including sitting and standing exercises, balance practice and precision marching. Classes are offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center beginning at 8:30 a.m. Call 775-334-2262 or 775-356-3176 for more information.


Senior Personal Fitness Program


Ken Wells, our senior fitness expert, is available to assist you with your workout. There are three levels of participation to meet your needs:

  1. Fitness Orientation - Learn the proper use of equipment, stretching form, and breathing.
  2. Senior Fitness Plan - Work individually with the trainer to customize a plan specifically for you.
  3. Senior Fitness Group - Get extra motivation and assistance when working out with others.

Zumba Latin Cardio


Zumba is known for its zesty Latin music and helps dramatically enhances health in a dance party atmosphere. With various rhythms, it tones and sculpts the body in an energizing cardio workout. Join the party and dance your way onto shape with Zumba! Classes are hosted by Patricia Gallimore of Alter Ego Studios. No dance talent needed. Just go with the flow!

Baby Boot Camp
Classes combine strength training exercise with cardiovascular drills. Mat work strengthens the abdominals and back. The stroller, resistance tubes, and even your child are used as an integral part of the workout. All fitness levels are invited!!

Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center
DanZan Ryu Jujitsu is an internationally recognized system of the Hawaiian jujitsu that
engages students in a lifetime of self discovery. DanZan Ryu Jujitsu teaches self-defense that is effective on the streets and competitive on the mat or in the cage, while developing students’ character and ethical principals. Students of DanZan Ryu not only practice techniques, but also belief in Kokua (helping spirit) and Ohana (family spirit).

Northeast Community Center


Medical evidence shows that adults who get a moderate amount of regular physical activity and eat right tend to be healthier and feel better. The Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center (EMNECC) holds a wide range of dance and fitness classes, a gymnasium, a 25 yard swimming pool with 4 lanes, and a well-equipped weight room.
