Notice of Public Hearing and Availability of the City of Reno and Washoe County HOME Consortium Draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan
In compliance with federal requirements, the City of Reno (City) and the Washoe County HOME Consortium (Consortium) have prepared a draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan for US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant funds. The Consolidated Plan contains an assessment of community needs, information on public participation in preparing the Plan, and a strategic plan that lists activities to address priority needs. The Annual Action Plan describes the programs and activities proposed for the 2015-16 program year during which the City and Consortium expect to receive $3.15 million in funds for the CDBG, HOME and ESG grant programs from HUD. The plans indicate physical improvement and community development projects to be completed by the City, how funding will be used to address the needs of those experiencing homelessness, and how affordable housing activities will be carried out by the Washoe County HOME Consortium. A 30-day public comment period will begin April 13, 2015 and continue to close of business on May 12, 2015.
The Draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan are available for public review at the City of Reno City Hall, One East First Street, 12th Floor, Reno, Nevada 89501 or by calling (775) 334-4228 or on our website at www.reno.gov. To be included in the final report to HUD, all comments relative to the plans must be submitted to the Community Development Department, City of Reno by close of business on May 12 2015. Comments should be e-mailed to D. Craig at email@example.com, faxed to 775-334-3124, or hand delivered to Maria Carrillo at City of Reno City Hall, One East First Street, 12th Floor, Reno, Nevada 89501.
Public comment will also be taken at a public hearing for the Draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 12:15 P.M. before the Reno City Council at City Hall, Council Chambers, One East First Street, Reno. Persons are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comments on the proposed plans.

The agenda for the meeting will be posted at Reno City Hall and available on line at www.reno.gov under Calendar, three (3) days prior to the public hearing date.
