Draft FY2014-2015 Annual Action Plan

The City of Reno (City) has prepared a draft Annual Action Plan in compliance with federal requirements.  The draft Annual Action Plan identifies how affordable housing activities will be carried out by the Washoe County HOME Consortium and City.  Additionally, it indicates physical improvement and community development projects to be completed by the City during the program year and how funding will be used to address the needs of those experiencing homelessness.  A 30-day public comment period will begin April 10, 2014. Written or verbal comments must be received by May 12, 2014.

 A public hearing for the draft Annual Action Plan will be held before the Reno City Council on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 12:15 P.M.  Another public hearing will be held before the Reno Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers.

The City of Reno, acting as the Lead Agency for the Washoe County HOME Consortium (WCHC), is seeking developers for the development of affordable housing within the cities of Reno and Sparks and the unincorporated area of Washoe County, Nevada, as well as non-profit agencies requesting certification or recertification as a CHDO.  Applications were available as of Tuesday, October 1, 2013, beginning at 10:00 A.M., at Reno City Hall, 1 E. First Street, 12th Floor, Reno, NV  89501. Applications may also be obtained by calling (775) 334-2578, emailing wildmanl@reno.gov., or on the City of Reno website at www.reno.gov/HAND  Deadline for submitting a completed application packet was 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013.
