The City of Reno is a direct recipient of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The City uses these funds in neighborhood revitalization projects for construction activities such as public facility, water, sewer, street, sidewalk and pedestrian ramp improvements. Other projects may include neighborhood centers and park improvements. Projects benefit an entire neighborhood that is primarily occupied by low- and moderate income residents. City Council identifies priority projects annually for inclusion in the Annual Action Plan that is submitted to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Past projects include:
Lighting improvements to Yori Park
Sewer improvements in the Oliver/Montello/Carville neighborhoods
Accessible Park at Dick Taylor Park
