Historic Plan

The Historic Plan rev 04-10-2013 was originally adopted by the City Council on February 27, 2008, and has since that time been updated.  The key concept of the Historic Plan rev 04-10-2013 is to develop mechanisms to identify buildings, sites, structures, or objects that are prehistoric or historic and are listed or are eligible for listing on the National, State or City Registers of Historic Places, and to raise community awareness of historic resources.  This Historic Plan rev 04-10-2013 establishes citywide historic policies, and addresses all parcels in the City of Reno including parcels in the Sphere of Influence (SOI).  Conservation districts, including the Powning Conservation District and the Wells Avenue Neighborhood Conservation District, are discussed and identified in the plan.  The City of Reno, the Historical Resources Commission and other stakeholders were all involved in creating the Historic Plan rev 04-10-2013.
