The goal is an open and honest conversation about our residents’ needs and the resources available in the Truckee Meadows.

  • No residential structures lost in Woodchuck Fire

    The Reno Fire Department (RFD) responded today at 1:30 p.m. to a fire in west Reno on the west side of Plateau Road. Forward progress on the 62-acre Woodchuck Fire (#WoodchuckFire) was stopped at approximately 5:30 p.m. No residential structures were lost, and no damage to residential structures occurred. There were no injuries to people or to any animals.

    Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve was selected as Chair of the United States Conference of Mayors Standing Committee on Tourism, Arts, Parks, Entertainment, and Sports (TAPES) this week. Mayor Schieve will be the first woman to Chair the committee in over 25 years.

  • Historical Marker to be formally recognized in Midtown Reno

    Through the efforts of the Nevada 150 Foundation Historical Marker Legacy Project and YESCO, the reinstallation of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad Right-of-Way Historical Marker No. 248 in Midtown Reno will be formally recognized on August 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. — 145 years to the day that Henry Yerington drove the last spike in 1872.

  • Traffic Restrictions for South Reno During Presidential Visit
