Light Chimes at Wingfield Park
The Light Chimes, by Scott Morgan, is back at Wingfield Park! The interactive light sculpture changes color and reacts as movements are detected under the sculptures that also trigger musical effects. The colors are created from photographs of the Truckee Meadows environs and urban Reno, submitted by locals to provide a custom color palette. The Light Chimes will be up through the winter of 2017 into early spring 2018.
Dragonfly by Peter Hazel will be installed September 2017 in Virginia Lake Park
Starting in early 2016, the Reno Arts & Culture Commission worked closely with the community and neighborhood to select an artist and artwork for a public art component at Virginia Lake Park. Peter Hazel's Dragonfly, made out of steel and stained glass, was chosen and will be installed in the fall of 2017.
The Playa Art Park

This is the second annual Playa Art Park and will feature multiple sculptures from this year's Burning Man Festival. The Playa Art Park is located at 520 N Virginia St, Reno, NV 89501. The new round of art and artists will be honored with a kick-off event in the Playa Art Park on November 10th at 6:00 pm.
