Woman Hiking a Trail with Skyline ViewTrails and open space abound for residents and guests to explore.  The scenic beauty is relaxing and refreshing.  Numerous parks, pathways, playgrounds and picnic shelters await.  Public trees in the parks and along streets help to reduce energy consumption, improve air quality, and provide visual relief within the urban setting.  Great memories begin in parks.  Park List

Detour: Truckee River Bike Path at Fisherman’s Park
The US 395 widening project will result in a detour of the Truckee River Bike Path between Fisherman’s Parks I and II. The detour will take bicycles and pedestrians out the parking exit at Fish II, along the north side of Kietzke Lane to the intersection of Galletti Way, and to the parking entry at Fish I. The bike path along the streets will be striped and barricaded, and detour signs placed along the pathway. The detour will be intermittent depending on the overall construction schedule between May 2010 and February 2011.
