Local citizens in the cities of Reno and Sparks have teamed up to form a joint "FIRST Blue Ribbon Task Force." The mission of the Task Force is to determine the best method of tax distribution, and the local authority necessary to fund government services. The Task Force will provide oversight and general guidance to a consultant and develop recommendations for the representative bodies.
On February 28, 2008, the Task Force established rules for their meetings.
