Topics of Interest

Flood Project

J.1 - Presentation and discussion regarding the Truckee River Flood Management Authority's Flood Project, including funding sources, establishment of the Legislative Committee for creation of a ballot question relating to funding and potential options available to the City of Reno for flood-related projects.

Overflow Shelter

J.2 - Update, discussion and potential direction to staff to pursue evaluation of the construction of a permanent overflow shelter for homeless persons at one, or all, of the following sites:

  • 250 Sage Street (APN 008-381-33)

  • 1035 East Commercial Row (APN 008-370-34/008-370-20)

  • Northeast corner of Sage/Commercial Row (APN 008-381-36)

Consent Agenda (All consent items may be approved together with a single motion, be taken out of order, and/or be heard and discussed individually.)

B.8 - Approval of Agreement for Temporary Donation of Artwork, three pieces of art, from the City of Reno to Washoe County for display at the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

F - Public Hearings - *1 p.m.

F.1 - McCarran/Sutro Master Plan and Zoning Map Amendments

F.1.1 - Request for: 1) Master Plan amendment on ±7.61 acres from Mixed Residential to Urban Residential/Commercial and 2) zoning map amendment on ±1.71 acres of Industrial (I) and ±1.66 acres of Multifamily - 21 dwelling units per acre (MF21) to ±3.37 acres of Community Commercial (CC). The site is located on the northeast corner of the North McCarran Boulevard/Sutro Street intersection.

F.1.2 - Resolution to amend Resolution No. 5673 by adopting a change to the Land Use Plan of the Reno Master Plan as approved in Case No. LDC17-00060.

F.1.3 - Ordinance Introduction to rezone a ±3.37 acre site located on the northeast corner of the North McCarran Boulevard/Sutro Street intersection from ±1.71 acres of Industrial (I) and ±1.66 acres of Multifamily - 21 dwelling units per acre (MF21) to ±3.37 acres of Community Commercial (CC).

F.2 - Bella Vista/Corona Cyan Site

F.2.1 - Public Hearing to determine Fair Market Value of a 6.5-acre City-owned parcel located at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Long Meadow Drive (appraised at $2,100,000); plus Resolution of Intent that it is in the best interest of the City to sell the property at public auction for a minimum price of $2,100,000.

F.2.2 - Resolution that it is in the best interest of the City to sell the above property, plus certain costs and an agreement to develop the property within 12 months from close of sale.

L - Council Donation Funds

L.2 - $1,000 to Amplify Life to support their Camp LotsAFun [McKenzie]

L.3 - $1,000 to Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful [McKenzie]

L.4 - $1,000 to the Reno Fire Department budget to offset costs associated with honor guard uniforms [McKenzie]

L.5 - $1,000 to the Reno Police Department budget to offset costs associated with honor guard uniforms [McKenzie]
