In our ongoing commitment to keep citizens informed, we have spotlighted a few key agenda items.

Who: Reno City Council

What: June 7, 2017 Regular Meeting

When: Noon (12 p.m.).

Neighborhood Renewal Program

H.3 - Resolution donating one-time Blight Mitigation Funds to Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity for the City's Neighborhood Renewal Program and approval of a Donation Agreement in the amount of $225,000.

Permanent Overflow Shelter

J.2 - Discussion and potential direction to staff to pursue evaluation of the construction of a permanent overflow shelter for homeless persons at one, or all, of the following sites: 250 Sage Street (APN 008-381-33); 1035 East Commercial Row (APN 008-370- 34/008-370-20); Northeast corner of the intersection of Sage/Commercial Row (APN 008-381-36); Terminus of East Commercial Row (APN 011- 450-24).

Sky Tavern - *3 p.m.

J.3 - Presentation, discussion and potential approval of agreements with Sky Tavern, a Nevada nonprofit corporation, for the five-year lease term and services by independent contractor of the Sky Tavern property, located at 10000 Mount Rose Highway.

Consent Agenda (All consent items may be approved together with a single motion, be taken out of order, and/or be heard and discussed individually.)

B.6 - Acceptance of donation from the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation for tennis court repairs at the Reno Tennis Center, located at 2601 Plumas Street, in the amount of $40,000.

B.7 - Acceptance of Donation from the High Fives Foundation for flooring replacement and a Smith Machine at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center in the amount of $8,000.

E - Presentations

E.1 - Point in Time Count results and methodology on homelessness in the Truckee Meadows. Presented by Reno Area Alliance for the Homeless (RAAH).

L - Council Donation Funds

L.2 - $500 reallocation to the City of Reno Office of Communications and Community Engagement budget to provide refreshments for participants of the Truckee River Source to Sea Paddling and Environmental Learning Project [Brekhus]

L.3 - $13,000 reallocation to the City of Reno Public Works Department Capital Projects budget to offset costs associated with improvements to City facilities [Brekhus]

L.4 - $5,000 to the Trauma Intervention Programs of Northern Nevada [Delgado]

L.5 - $445 to the Education Alliance to support the Hug High School's Hero program [Delgado]

L.6 - $500 to Access for Community and Cultural Education Programs and Training (ACCEPT) [Delgado]

L.7 - $2,500 reallocation to the City of Reno Arts, Culture and Special Events Department to support the new localized art construction activities of building the Man in the City of Reno [Duerr]

L.8 - $2,800 to Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada, to offset costs associated with the Reno Works Program [Jardon]
