TMWRF is jointly owned by the Cities of Reno and Sparks. The City of Reno oversees the Capital Improvement Program for TMWRF, while the City of Sparks manages operations. The existing liner is about 30 years old; a new lining system is needed for proactive facility rehabilitation and maintenance to ensure reliable containment of wastewater in the basin per State and Federal mandates. This supports Council priority to Provide Efficient and Responsive City Services.
