City of Reno provides free meals to youth through Summer Food Program
The City of Reno has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the effort to keep children eating healthy while school is out for the summer. The Summer Food Program began today and continues through early August.
Free meals will be provided to all children 18 and younger at various locations. There is no income or registration requirement. Students enrolled in City of Reno summer camps will also receive these meals. The schedule of food service sites is listed here.
For more information on participating locations, call 866-3-HUNGRY or 877-8-HAMBRE (for Spanish speakers), and a live operator will direct you to the closest site serving free meals. Also, there is an online map locator at whyhunger.org/findfood.
