Reno Police makes it easier for citizens and insurance companies to access collision reports

Post Date:05/22/2014 1:35 PM

The biggest potential users of this system are insurance companies and attorneys that have clients involved in traffic collisions which were investigated by Reno PD.

The website is www.mycollisionreport.com and is managed by a company called Crossroads which the Reno Police Department has used for documenting electronic collision and citation reports since 2003.  When citizens, insurance companies or attorneys go on line to retrieve the collision report there will be a convenience service charge that applies.  Anyone having difficulties retrieving their collision report needs to contact Crossroads directly at (714) 494-4559 Monday through Friday 8am-5pm PST for customer support, and not Reno Police Department Records Division, Reno Police Dispatch or Traffic Division.

The vast majority of traffic collision reports will be available through this service with the exception of MAIT cases and other reports not approved for dissemination by RPD records.   The Reno Police Department Records Division also wishes to remind everyone that it takes approximately 10 business days before their collision report will be available for download.
