Idlewild Park train back on the rails

The train at Idlewild Park is no longer idle. It will be back on the track starting Wednesday, April 9 after being temporarily out of service.

The train will run daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, through Sunday, April 13. From there, it will run on a weekend-only schedule through Memorial Day weekend.

From May 27 through September 1, the train will operate Tuesday through Friday and on state holidays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weekend hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The cost to ride remains $2 per person. Children age 2 and younger can ride for free on the lap of a parent or guardian. Tickets may be purchased on site (cash only).
