Storm Water Committee to host two free classes

Both classes are open to the public:
  • Tuesday, March 25. 8:30 a.m. to noon. Associated General Contractors (AGC) building at 5400 Mill Street.
  • Wednesday, April 2. 8:30 a.m. to noon. The Builders Association of Northern Nevada (BANN) at 5484 Reno Corporate Drive, #100.
New Nevada Construction Site Best Management Practices field guides will be provided to all attendees, and certificates of attendance will be awarded for Professional Development Hours. Seminar content includes: installation and maintenance of BMPs, the permitting process, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Truckee Meadows Project implementation, and more.

The training sessions are held regionally in the spring and fall and are a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NDPES) MS4 storm water discharge permit. Watershed volunteers and enthusiasts are invited to attend.
