  • Location: Downtown Reno
The City of Reno and other community partners are hosting the David Wise Parade of Champions.  Wise was the first person from Reno to win an Olympic gold medal (freeski halfpipe competition).  Other regional medal winners from the recent 2014 Winter Olympics may also join in the parade to be recognized.

Time
Parade starts at 5:00pm and will last about 30 minutes.  Upon arrival at Aces Ballpark, Wise and the others will sign autographs prior to the first pitch of the Aces game (first pitch is 6:35pm)

Parade Route
In the heart of downtown Reno, the parade begins on Fourth and Virginia Street and heads south under the arch. It continues east on Second Street, and finally north on Evans Avenue to end at the Aces Ballroom.

Parade Highlights
In addition to the featured Olympic athletes from the Reno/Tahoe area, there will be a live singing of the national anthem, moving honor guard salute, and classic cars and other automobiles provided by Hot August Nights. At the end of the parade route, the athletes will sign autographs prior to the Reno Aces ballgame, scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
