Sarah Nicole Philips - "You've Been Selected"

January 20, 2014 - February 28, 2014

Gallery East in McKinley Arts & Culture Center hosts an exhibition of collages by Sarah Nicole Phillips. “You’ve Been Selected” is a body of collages made from the various patterns found on discarded security envelops. Phillips creates scenes containing flora-inspired imagery that echo the security envelope’s intended use as a camouflage for documents, and also dystopian landscapes created in a time of increasing mistrust toward corporations, financial institutions and the government meant to regulate these entities.

Artist Reception: Thursday, January 23, 2014 5:30-7:30pm
